Monday Morning
I am thankful for lazy Monday mornings, not having to go to work until the afternoon and free Cars 2 printables! Click here for the link.
Oh hi there, my baby boy....
His masterpiece! That evil Professor Z! (Yes, I was disappointed in how much violence was in the movie.)
Sprout takes coloring very seriously. Look at how he attempts to get the colors exactly as they are on the real car!
What are YOU thankful for this week?

Leap of Faith Update
Several people have asked me how DH is doing in his RN program, so I figured it was time for an update.
He's doing great. Studying A LOT! Much of the material is coming naturally to him due to his twelve years in chiropractic. When his class did their first clinical, the exercise was to check heart rate and take blood pressure. Everyone else was too nervous to go first so DH offered to go first because he felt comfortable doing it. The first theory test was challenging because he needed to think more like a nurse and not the primary care physician. Now that he has adapted his perspective, he's scoring near the top of the class. (Ok, maybe I'm bragging on him a bit too much, but I'm proud of him!)
The challenging part has been at home. Since much of his time is either studying or working a few shifts at his job, I'm having to do most of the work at home while balancing my own career. I feel like I'm on my feet from 5:30 am to 10 pm! We knew this two years would be a challenge, and it is. But it is going fast. He's almost done with the first semester!
Our biggest concern is that the boys don't get lost in the crazy shuffle. On any given day, DH is at school, then the second he gets home, I'm bolting out the door to get to work. Or I go to work in the morning, then when I get home, DH heads off to do a shift at his job. So we try to love them up as much as we can, making our time together more quality. Sometimes I just sit down, leave the house a mess, and cuddle up with the boys while watching a movie.
So that's the update! Please keep us in your prayers as we continue to lift our future up to Him. At any moment, I could be transferred at work and have to work straight day shifts. If that happened, I don't know what we would do with the boys. There's no way we could afford daycare right now. But DH keeps telling me that God wouldn't have brought us this far and opened this many doors if He didn't have a plan for us.

A Police Officer and a Pirate
I normally work evenings on Mondays, but of course I didn't want to miss trick or treating with my boys, so thankfully my MIL watched the boys during the day while I worked the day shift. Then, in the evening, I took the boys around the 'hood while DH gave out candy at home.
So does it surprise me that Cubbie chose a police officer costume? No. Several neighbors thought it was pretty fitting. Maybe some day I can make him a real costume with my department's patches and all! How cool would that be! (Anyone know how to sew??? ;-)
Why is it so hard to get kids to smile? I of course always resort to, "Say Cheese!" Oh well, they're still cute! (Can I say that about my own kids???)
And now, a couple of my favorite shots. I thought about turning this one black and white. I still might...
Sprout was trying to be a tough pirate here. He just looks so serious, I love it.
So that's my photo overload for you all! Hope you liked it (especially Sherry and Marydon! :-)

(Emmy, hope you don't mind, not quite ten things :-)

"Honest officer, the mutiny wasn't my idea, I swear!"

Oh and so many of my bloggy friends are having link ups this week, I couldn't resist joining in on the fun!
