Where I’ve Been

Kindle

This is the culprit.

My new Kindle.

It was my Christmas present from my DH.

I love it.

Too much.

The first book I purchased was “American Assassin” by Vince Flynn. Mitch Rapp rocks. I love this series. I flew through it in four days.

Now, I’m working my way through some of the free ebooks you can upload from Amazon’s site.

So, if I’ve been a little absent from your blogs, comments, or Twitter…

You can blame my Kindle!

What good books have YOU read lately???

I am actually reading a non-fiction book called Outliers. It is not the sort of thing I would pick up on my own; my father-in-law passed it on to me. But it is fascinating! I am also reading The Gift of an Ordianbry Day, by Katrina Kenison, a motherhood memoir of sorts. Also very good. Strange because I almost always read fiction! Enjoy your reading time!

I don't have one of these but I have tried reading books on my laptop. I love the feel of a book in my hands and it did not work so well for me. I am glad you are enjoying yours though. :)

I think I would like a Kindle, but then again, you can't get an autographed book via kindle. It's just not the same!

As for books I'm reading - I'm currently reading "the power of persistant prayer" by Cindy Jacobs. It's for my bible study and so far, it's awesome!

Well, I guess I have to face reality here. I don't really like to read. The Mr on the other hand is a book work. He digests it and sums it up for me. Than we read together marriage books. Sorry I can't help. I can go into the basement "library" and get some books from the Mr. that he liked. Mostly political stuff and Cop fiction. No suprise LOL Glad you are liking your gift so much. We are big on the library. Cheep, cheep, cheep LOL

Sooo far behind in everything ... colder than a patooty ... painted ceiling a bit ... watching football Ravens v. Steelers, GO RAVENS! ... Joshua took me to lunch yesterday, kid-lings can be great! ... boxed up & shipped to blogger gals some 'stuff' to get out of house they can use ... church tomorrow. Whew! tired already. Chuckle!!

Have a beautiful weekend, hugs to y'all ...

Since you have sons, you MUST read "Heaven is for Real".

It will take you 3 hours, I swear. It's an easy read, and an amazing book for mothers, Christians, or ANY person who just needs to feel a child-like faith.

Promise me you'll read it!! :) Pretty please?

Books? *insert snorting and laughter* Books? I am lucky to check blogs. And I am about 2 months behind in my "good Housekeeping" magazines. My mom says that is because I am too busy keeping a good house :o)
But I do read to the kids. So my "good book" of late is Frank Ash's Happy Birthday Moon

I love reading - it is my absolute favorite thing to do at night before bed. One the last books I read was The Mountain Between Us by Charles Martin - great story!

I haven't, as I can't put a good book down and I ignore everything else I should be doing :)

I see Laanykidsmom is reading Outliers - so am I! It's my book club pick of the month. It's pretty intersting. I just read a good "fluffy fiction read." You should pick up "Time of My Life" by Allison Winn Scott...that was kind of a fun read - really quick. (If you like fiction, that is.)

I just got my Writer's Digest and Nicholas Sparks was interviewed. He was talking about his book - "Safe Haven" which doesn't sound like his typical book...it sounds like a thriller/love story. I thought "thriller?" So, that piqued my interest and I may have to get that one next...

I know you like to write. Do you get "Writer's Digest?" If you don't, you'd really like it. My favorite issue is one where they interviewed Jerry Jenkins (Left Behind series - Christian Author) and his unlikely friendship with Stephen King. VERY INTERESTING!
