I’m so excited to be linking up with my friend, Mama M today for:
1. What is one thing you miss the most about childhood?
The Ice cream truck! My mom lived in public housing (the “projects”) when I was real small. I remember the thrill of hearing the sing song music. Every little kid would come running off of swings and front stoops, begging their moms for spare change.
2. Are you still friends with your friends from high school?
Considering I graduated almost 20 years ago now (1991), no. Just grew apart, I guess.
3. Is there a catch phrase, cliche, or word that just drives you bonkers every time you hear it? No, not really. I can’t come up with one.
4. What is one thing that you think symbolizes America...besides "Old Glory"?
Fireworks! Hence, the above image.
5. What are your 4th of July weekend plans?
The 4th of July parade in town, of course! My boys love the fire trucks and police cars, well, and the candy too!

There always will be something special about the icecream truck... though they really are such a rip off :)
I don't think we have any plans for the 4th yet. Our city had fireworks last week as it was the city's birthday... I am going to see Eclipse on Saturday :)
Someday, I'm hoping for a promotion so I don't have to do weekends and holidays any more!

woohoo! love the list. we never had an ice cream truck until after having kids but could sure use one today...its hot...going one town over for fire works pony rides and fireworks....a little less crowded than here and a whole lot of fun! happy 4th!
I don't even know if we will see fireworks this weekend. Maybe. I should mention it to my husband. It's just that my little ones go to bed so early (7pm), and it's not even dark then.
I miss the ice cream truck too! We used to go running for it every day. What a treat it was.

I have a family reunion on the Fourth, but I hope we get to see some fireworks! Firetrucks and ice cream trucks make me think of summer!

I totally forgot about the ice cream trucks! Yes definitely miss those from childhood!

The last few days for me have been incredibly hectic, including several birthday parties so I am hoping to have a relaxing day with Mr. Jenny!
