Baby Birds Update

Hi there!

I checked in on the baby Robins this past Friday. Their eyes were open and they had feathers!
(To see earlier photos, click here and here.)

Sprout and Cubbie love to hear the little chirps coming from the deck. If you look closely, you can see all four beaks.

I was lucky to get these pictures because a minute later, Mama Robin returned and nose dived at my head. I could hear the flutter of her wings right next to my ear as I ducked and ran inside!

And then, yesterday morning…

The baby Robins were gone! I didn’t want to post a picture of an empty nest full of bird poo, so instead, here’s my curious boys trying to see into the nest.

The robins are adorable. But really, your boys peeking through the deck is even better. Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!

So true. I especially like the line about everything besides God is sand.

I wrote a similar post, in that I referenced a song. Mine was on surrender.

I enjoy your blog.

EXCELLENT PICTURES! We once had baby doves. They do leave the nest very quickly after they have feathers. Isn't it amazing? LOVE the pictures!

Oh they are such precious photos. The last one of your 2 little boys peering through the cracks in the decking just reminded me of my two eldest boys. They are close in age & used to play together like that all the time. It is so nice to see the little birds are growing so nicely...they have feathers now! Naked no more!
Great post CopMama

Thanks! I own a Canon T1i DSLR camera. I saved up for a long time to get it. I love it! It is an amazing camera! I still need to take some classes, though. I really don't a clue what I'm doing with half the settings!
