My First Car

Used '81 Camaro, One Previous Owner, One Accident,
Slight Damage to Driver's Door

No kidding, that is what the add said. But my dad convinced me to buy it anyways!

What am I talking about? Well, it's time for:

1. What was the first car you owned?

'81 Chevy Camaro
(Similar to this one, but without the stripe down the middle.)

2. What song are you embarrassed to know the lyrics to?

Wonder Pets

"The phone, the phone is ringing"...just shoot me now! ;-)

3. Have you ever had stitches?

Look closely at the bridge of my nose. Dog bite from when I was five. (Story for another day.)

4. What was your first job?

First real job, besides babysitting and cleaning, would be cashier at a convenience store when I was 16. A little dangerous, given the neighborhood, but it was better than flipping burgers.

5. Who is your favorite Sesame Street character?

Tie between Cookie Monster and Elmo
(Sprout, 2006, 2 months old.)

 T.G.I.F., my friends!
Any fun plans for YOU???

Your first wheels were straight from my favorite matchbox car! ;) That was one kickass ride!

Make sure to tell the dogbite story sometime too!

There's an animal in trouble!

My husband calls that "the taxidermy show."

Love the car, is it just me or do muscle cars always smell like gas? In a good way I mean.

TGIF! a dog bite? ok, we need that story...like yesterday. smiles.

Had to laugh with the ad. But smiled too, because it reminded me of my second vehicle - Chevy Camero. It was great! But insurance was sooo expensive. I had it through my college years and then sold it.

I can't believe it! MY first job was working in a convenience store when I was in high school, too! I always tell people, "These were the days before convenience stores got robbed every two weeks!"

Also, that car is SMOKING!!

My husband and I plan a boring weekend of yard work and watching the rest of the NFL draft! We're such party animals, aren't we?

Hope yours is terrific!!

Thanks for your comment on my blog, and for following me. I love to find new friends who like photography too! A dog bite...yikes, one of my worst fears. I have been bitten before too. Ironically, in the nose as well, but didn't require stitches. If there were a song I was embarrassed to know the lyrics too, it would probably be a kids song too! Looking forward to getting to know you and your blog!

Kathryn

You had some sweet first wheels! The first wheels I drove, though they weren't mine.. were our family's big 8 passenger van, you know the brown and tan kind. Yeah I was cool like that.

Oh and I am right there with you on the Wonder Pets :)

My first car was a Nova. I paid $500.00 dollars for it ( money I saved from my first job at the Big DQ). One of the guys at the high school I attended swore he would have my car before we graduated and he did. He bought it, souped it up and he was the envy of every male senior there. Probably the song that sticks in my head is Veggie Tales by Larry the cucumber, "Let my pickles go!!". My favorite of all character would have to be Elmo. Hey do I win a prize for answering all these questions? (LOL) Thanks for the trip down memory lane. God bless you.

PS Cutest little cookie monsters that I have ever seen!!!

I love that picture of Sprout! What a skinny little guy. Mine only stayed skinny for a week, then they became Jabba the Hut.

Hee hee!! LOVE the pic of your babe with Cookie! And, a dog bite?! Yes!! MUST tell that story...how scary.

You've had the coolest car yet, I must say!!

That must've been a cool car. My first car? It was a possessed 1980 toyota corolla. Why possessed? Well cause it only started when it wanted....literally. LOL

My first car was a lemon for sure but I loved it. A 85 ford tempo named Kirby. It liked to hop curbs and I do not know why.. I loved the answers you had. I love Elmo and Ernie.. Have a great weekend..

I Love the car!!
I never heard of the wonder pets, but they look kinda cute. Goofy song, tho.
I had 325 stitches in my head when I was 16. Ran into an orange tree, on a motorcycle, wasn't wearing my helmet.
I was a cashier for a fast food restaurant, not my first job tho.
Don't know who my fave Sesame Street Character is.

Have a Great weekend!!
Enjoy your family.
