“Mama Guilt Mondays” Prompt: Affordable Kid's Clothes

Mama Guilt Mondays

Here is tomorrow’s optional prompt, in case you’re not sure what Mama Guilt to share:

Hand-me Downs, Thrift Stores, & Garage Sales for YOUR Kid's Clothes? What's YOUR Secret?

See ya back here tomorrow! The Linky will be up early!

A little history: Mama Guilt Mondays was one of the first blog posts I ever did. It stemmed out of the guilty feelings I get every Monday morning as I drive in to work. I miss my kiddos and the weekend we just spent together. I also wanted a place to share my struggles and challenges of being a mother. It’s so valuable for me to hear what other moms are dealing with too. So, I guess, in the end, Mama Guilt Mondays hopefully is a supportive place for moms to be real about motherhood!

I am the last of all my friends and most of my family to have kids. So I have been blessed with a non-stop flow of hand-me-downs boys and now girls too. So many in fact that we can pick and choose from them what we like and what we don't. Once in awhile I run into a little jam where we need something (right now my son is so tall his jeans are suddenly floods, and boys jeans don't hand down too well, so we need jeans) so I will go to Walmart or Salvation Army, once in awhile Target. Garage Sales with toddlers or babies doesn't work too well for me and I am nearly always solo with kids :)
*But I would definitely buy from garage sales if it worked better!
We never jip on good new shoes though, Stride Rite usually.

I have friends that pass on outgrown clothing in great condition to my daughters and that helps a lot.

I shop at Walmart or The Children's Place when they need new stuff.

I'm ALLL about hand me downs. No guilt here!
