"Mama Guilt Mondays” Prompt: Picky Eaters

Mama Guilt Mondays

Here is tomorrow’s optional prompt, in case you’re not sure what Mama Guilt to share:

Picky Eaters: What Do YOU Do?

See ya back here tomorrow! The MckLinky will be up early!

A little history: Mama Guilt Mondays was one of the first blog posts I ever did. It stemmed out of the guilty feelings I get every Monday morning as I drive in to work. I miss my kiddos and the weekend we just spent together. I also wanted a place to share my struggles and challenges of being a mother. It’s so valuable for me to hear what other moms are dealing with too. So, I guess, in the end, Mama Guilt Mondays hopefully is a supportive place for moms to be real about motherhood!

I used to have all these guilt just like all working mum when I was on a nine to five job. Now I am a housewife and loving every second of it, coz I get to listen to my sons stories, what they did in school, exams result etc first hand, the minute they step into the car, when I fetch them from school. Well, you are not alone with the struggles and guilt.

Moms sure believe they have a lot to be guilty for, don't we? Just last week I could have wallowed in my teenager's teenager angst, the fact that my daughter isn't reading as quickly as her teacher thinks she should and that my other son doesn't eat balanced meals - and more.

But I consciously chose not. Not that it was easy. ;-)

i just spent a week in full guilt while i was on the road, alone in san francisco with all the extra time in the world to sight see and do amazing things... guilt kept me in my hotel room for 6 days.

I am MEAN mom. I tell them, if you dont eat whats for dinner, you dont get anything else!

I guess I might feel a tad guilty about them when they are begging for snacks at 10:00 pm. I just dont want picky eaters!!

Blessings girl-
Amanda

Did you know you have 400 followers? 400! Holy Moley lady! Go you :o) See, I told you that you are interesting to read!!!!! I am not doing a Mama Guilt Monday tomorrow because I have a post ready to go up about a missionary family for tomorrow. But my little Gluten-Wheat free boy is PICKY. And I feel guilty because he can't eat some stuff, so I think I go easier on him than I do on my other one. So there is my mama guilt. I feel guilty he can't eat everything we do...guilty that I don't make him eat the veggies that I make his brother.

My oldest grandson is a picky eater-so am I. Saturday morning I didn't have anything he liked except a banana. So I said how about a piece of last night's cheese pizza? It can't be any worse than sugared cereals or pop tarts, right? But a tinge of guilt stung me until I realized I'm the grandma now. He can get nutrition at home.

I used to feed my son spaghetti O's and chicken noodle soup, but he doesn't like those anymore either. I don't get him. I'm hoping the day will come that he'll ask for some broccoli.
