I was running on my treadmill in the basement while DH was watching Sprout and Cubbie when I heard,
CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!
"Not good," I thought. And I was right. This is what I found:
OH sweet boys, were you going to cook dinner for Mama?
Can YOU relate? Please share your experiences in the comments section.

Love the captions in the pic :-)
They were thinking that this cupboard is locked, and why is this cupboard locked. Must have some fantastic things in there. Sure enough there were.
With my children and grandchildren I have always had what we call a tupperware drawer in my kitchen. Usually the bottom drawer. It holds many wonderful things. Mostly lids and a few wooden spoons, old cookie cutters. The kids would sit for hours in my kitchen playing with these items. But you know there is always the exception to the rule. I had one that would rather lay or stand in the drawer. If he stood he could reach the next drawer and wow it held really cool stuff. Nothing is SAFE.
Are we suppose share our kids getting into things they shouldn't??
Where do I start??
Mike actually commented that CPS was going to be called on me yesterday when he found Summer standing on top of the kitchen counter in the cupboard eating chocolate sprinkles (thank goodnes it was not the excedrine).
I can sooo relate. I can relate to the fact that Mom is trying to do something and Dad is supposed to be watching the kids. Dad watching kids = no REAL me-time for Mom! LOL!
Oh, yes. When Ethan was about two, we were in bed sleeping (it was early morning, he got out of his room by himself), and heard noise in the kitchen. We walked out to find him in the kitchen, on the counter, covered in dishsoap and loose tea. He was so proud of himself.
reminds me of the classroom when i leave one area unattended for too long. the assortment of "tools" and ideas are quite hilarious.
My kiddos are grown now but wow there were so many events. One that scared the begeebees out of me was when my son was three and had his own set of (old) car keys...because he loved and stills loves cars more than...food. Anyway, somehow he got the protector off the plug in thingie -is that a jack, what is that?- in the hallway and proceeded to start his engine with the keys. It popped and burned his hand. Wow we were lucky.
Thanks for stopping by the ole blog. Your blog is very interesting. I will be back.
What did your husband say when you discovered this? My husband would say, "That must have JUST happened, because I have been watching them very closely." I know the kids are fast, trust me - I know, but dad time is different than mommy time. :-)
LOL! I remember one night we watched our neice (who was 2) and woke up to EGGS everywhere when i say everywhere i mean EVERYWHERE in our dryer, all over the kitchen floor, all inside the fridge. LOL I suppose she was trying to surprise us w/Breakfast! That was a nice surprise alright!
My son when he was 2 he put a bottle of Kraft Parmesan cheese in the microwave and turned it on!!!
Kids gotta love em!! lol
